“It is our dream that the CSUB Children’s Choir will nurture a new generation of life-long music makers. And that it will enrich the life of our students and the Bakersfield community.”Dr. Angel Vazquez-Ramos, Director of Choral Studies
Level 1 (1st & 2nd grade) and Level 2 (3rd & 4th grade) classes are held at CSUB in the Music Building, Room 127.
We hold classes every Wednesday starting January 31 with two different start times.
With over 20 years of collective experience, we bring out the best in each of our students.
Jessica Ardray has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from CSU Bakersfield. She has been teaching and directing children’s music in Bakersfield for over 5 years in the Panama Buena-Vista Union School District. She continues her music education in studying the Kodály Method, a philosophy of teaching music to children in which she looks forward to sharing with our Level 2 (3rd and 4th Grade) singers.
Anna Santiago is an elementary music and chorus teacher for the Panama-Buena Vista School district. She has been in education since 2008, working with children from ages 4-18, both privately and in the school setting. She graduated from CSUB with a BA in Music Education and received a single subject credential in Music. She hopes to share her experience with our Level 1 (1st and 2nd grade) students.
